LIMRA NAMES BANKERS LIFE AND CASUALTY COMPANY EXECUTIVE TO BOARD

CHICAGO (December 9, 2003) - Susan Morisato,
Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary of Bankers Life and
Casualty Company, Chicago, has been named to the 26-member Board of
Directors of the Life Insurance Marketing Research Association
(LIMRA).
The century-old organization serves clients with cooperative
research in marketing and distribution. LIMRA helps clients
identify trends, evaluate options, and create solutions for their
businesses.
"Susan will be a great asset to our Board," said Charles R.
Wright, LIMRA Board Chair. "Her experience as an executive and her
depth of knowledge of product development will provide us new
insights."
Morisato said, "I look forward to working with the Board. LIMRA
is a very important partner for our industry, providing research
that is timely, relevant and highly credible to outside
constituencies."
At Bankers, Morisato is responsible for product development,
risk management, strategic planning and market research for all
products. She joined Bankers in 1979 as an actuarial assistant. Her
promotion to senior vice president came in 1996.
Her professional associations include the Society of Actuaries,
American Academy of Actuaries, Health Insurance Association of
America, and the American Council of Life Insurers. She holds a
bachelor's degree in mathematics and education and a master's in
mathematics, both from the University of Illinois.
